Mia Perez has always had a very imaginative mindset. She constantly found herself daydreaming off during car rides, school, and even some conversations as her imagination ran wild. She got lost in the world of books as soon as she learned how to read. But most importantly she loved to create. She enjoyed every English class she had as she viewed it as a personal challenge as she was assigned papers to write. But it wasn’t until she took her first creative writing class her Junior year that she truly got to explore all types of writing genres. She found herself writing more in her free time and thus this began her creative adventure in creating The Asylum Friends.
